This time it's about proportion and perspective and where to find tutorials and guides to help you overcome this demon. ( if it's something you haven't conquered yet! ^-^ )

The perspective & proportion thing can be  scary  to take on (it scares the muffins out of me *-*), but once you know the basic laws and rules you'll have it beat  - you can be the best artist in the world but if you can't get to grips with 'the two P's' it'll hinder your ability to show the world how good you are . (... I mean,   it's fine to have a wonky room if you're painting Alice in the 'shrink me/grow me' part of the story, but usually things aren't meant to look like that.... and having a body in the correct proportions will just make it look so much better!:giggle:  )

Below you will find links to deviant tutorials as well as a handful of other sites that may prove useful. The links cover learning how to get good angles, perspectives and proportions – in architecture as well as the human (and animal) body  - worth taking a look at even if it's just for  brushing up on old skills.

There is a great book on perspective that I use as a bible. Perspective Drawing Handbook by Joseph D'Amelio. I highly recommend it :)

Thanks for putting perspective into a new perspective! It's always good to learn how to draw things in perspective from another point of view. Cheers.

Yeah, the links aren't working. I think it's because they're in the bullets. Maybe dA links don't work like that?

If you could post these somewhere, I'd love to see what you recommend. :thanks:

I thought it was the bullets messing up the links too, until I saw the bottom link to the other article didn't work either - goodness knows why it's decided to mess up, I must of done something odd ... :ohmygod: I'll post the links in my shoutboard within the next hour so everyone can still see them
